Today, 66 percent have chronic disease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Quote from Article: \u201cT<em>his is a favorite line of Kennedy\u2019s \u2014 which he repeated while pitching his plan to phase out petroleum-based <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/o\/IQdj8\/https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wellness\/2025\/04\/23\/artificial-synthetic-petroleum-dye-food-coloring\/\"><em>synthetic dyes<\/em><\/a><em> from the nation\u2019s food supply. In the interview with Watters, he spoke broadly, about all Americans. During <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/o\/IQdj8\/https:\/\/www.rev.com\/transcripts\/rfk-jr-confiramation-hearing-day-one\"><em>his confirmation hearings in January<\/em><\/a><em>, he used a similar talking point about children: \u201cWhen my uncle was president, 2 percent of American kids had chronic disease. Today, 66 percent have chronic disease.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHe\u2019s said it enough that the figures have started to creep into search results of AI models on chronic diseases in the 1960s.
